About Me

I am SO excited that you are here! I want to take a quick moment to share a little about myself and what this blog is all about.
It’s actually taken me a long time to put this whole thing together. I’ve had to combat feelings of inadequacy and fears of judgment which has made it take way WAY longer than it should’ve to just make this blog happen!
Here’s the deal, I don’t know if you guys are anything like this, but I sometimes (read: usually) feel like a Pinterest perfect wannabe and Instagram Influencer imitator all wrapped up into a messy, over-caffeinated blonde package. While I love social media and have personally seen it be used for great things, it can fuel my insecure little fire too much in the wrong direction some days.
What am I trying to say?
I feel that it’s SO easy to catch the imposter syndrome when you compare yourself to the perfectly curated content we all consume in the world today. I know I can’t be the only one feeling this way.
But let’s be honest here… I have a few hang ups in my head and reasons why I have questioned if I even “qualify” to have this little place on the internet.. I’m not a professional writer, blogger, photographer, or cook. I’m really not a “professional” anything! I don’t have my own show on HGTV and Martha would probably laugh me off stage. I am, however, a professional oversharer and chronic impulse DIY junky. I am also extremely passionate about helping others discover and express their inner imperfectly perfect creativity. So, here I am, stifling that inner voice of insecurity because I truly believe that we were all created by our creator, to well, CREATE! We were all made in His image and after all, He’s pretty much the ultimate creative DIY genius.
If we could all get over that small voice telling us that we can’t or that it would look dumb or that so and so would make fun us, this world would be such better place filled with way happier and more fulfilled people.
Sometimes our creativity shows up in the kitchen, our closest or our craft rooms. Some people express that creative energy in their business or even here, on social media. For me, it’s usually some mix of all of the above and that combination is exactly what I plan to share in this space. How ever your creative genius shows up for you, I know that you’ll find inspiration on this blog to live out your wildest pinterest dreams and insta-worthy moments. Most importantly, I hope that you will find some much needed, heart-felt motivation that helps you to look past the perfectly filtered lives we live here on the internet and it gives you the courage you need to tell the negative voice inside your head to shut it so that you can get going on what you were made to do, create!
